In the mountain villages of the French Pyrenees, Brianna found a beautiful palomino horse named Noisette (French for hazelnut). She rode her through open fields where wild lavender and hay grew in abundance, the perfect backdrop for what, more than a decade later, would become an award-winning fragrance. “Mornings hung low and damp in the valley; on the mountaintop, the air turned warm and clear, and the sun could always find you. Hay lay rolled up in beautiful wheels across the open fields for miles, and lavender grew wild along the meandering streams. They called the horses in from the pasture with armfuls of stale baguettes from an old rusted barrel. So funny, so French. I never forgot it. Noisette is that place, those memories.” BRIANNA LIPOVSKY, FOUNDER Pascal Gaurin carved those memories into an olfactive portrait. Not a horse, a place or a moment, but all of them at once: wild lavandin, the first absolute ever certified organic; orris, for volume; ambrette seed, musky and nutty, for the stale baguettes. This is the world of Noisette. A fougère that stays close and does not fade.
